Dog Beach in Bonita Springs is one of the few public beaches in Southwest Florida where dogs are welcome. Also known as the “Lee County Off-Leash Dog Area,” it’s the perfect place for dogs to run free and enjoy the water.
Unlike many nearby beaches, this natural setting allows dogs to roam freely, making it a favorite destination for pet owners.
The beach is located north of Bonita Beach Road where it turns into Hickory Blvd, just north of the New Pass Bridge and near Lovers Key State Park.
This is an unsupervised facility, and visitors are responsible for themselves and their pets. Pet waste must be collected, as it impacts water quality. Please use the provided waste bags and dispose of trash properly.
Dog Beach offers a unique mix of freedom, nature and community. It’s a place where dogs can run, swim and play freely while owners enjoy the laid-back coastal environment.
