Reef Diving – Artificial Inshore Reefs in Pinellas County, Florida

Project Details

Completed in April 2006, the reefs lie in approximately 15 feet of water, measure around 150 square feet, and feature a 3–5 foot relief. They are now home to a wide variety of fish species.

What to Expect?

• 29 artificial reefs from Redington Shores to Clearwater Pass
• Built from eco-safe concrete and steel to support coral and algae growth

Marine Life & Visibility

Common species include snappers, groupers, sheepshead, and at deeper sites even Goliath groupers and nurse sharks. Visibility is moderate – ideal for fish watching.

Located about 200 yards offshore – accessible only by boat. Example coordinates include:

Note: A GPS device is recommended due to occasional positional shifts.
