Tampa International Airport (TPA) is the primary airport serving the Tampa Bay area, located just about 6 miles west of Downtown Tampa. It is widely recognized as one of the most passenger-friendly airports in the United States.
TPA offers over 100 nonstop routes throughout the U.S., the Caribbean, Central America, and Europe. Airlines include Southwest, Delta, American, United, Frontier as well as British Airways, Lufthansa, Air Canada, Virgin Atlantic.
The airport consists of a main terminal and four airsides (A, C, E, F) connected via automated people movers. It currently operates 59 gates. A fifth airside (D) with 16 new gates is planned.
TPA is fully accessible and participates in the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Program. Services include wheelchair assistance, accessible restrooms, dedicated parking, and support for travelers with non-visible disabilities.
Short-term, long-term, and economy parking options are available. The SkyConnect train links the terminal with the Rental Car Center. On-site options include taxi, Uber, Lyft, and shuttle services.
