The Sanctuary Golf Club is the only private golf club on Sanibel Island, nestled within the J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge. The Sanctuary Golf Course was designed by nationally renowned golf course architect Arthur Hills, who described it as "my island masterpiece" and called the facility "elegant, exquisite, and rare."

The course borders the world-famous wildlife refuge and winds over 6,657 yards through protected wetlands and lakes, offering panoramic views of Pine Island Sound and lush mangrove forests. Golfers often encounter the diverse bird and wildlife population that calls the Sanctuary home.

The course has received numerous accolades, including recognition as a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary and designation as a Platinum Club of America.

Memberships & Access

The club is exclusive to members. Membership options include:

Equity Membership: Unlimited access to all facilities, including year-round golf
Social & Sports Membership: Access to all facilities with golf privileges from May through September

Residency on Sanibel is not required. Membership is limited to 340 Equity and 110 Social members.
