Kelly Greens was founded in 1987, and construction of the golf course began in October of the same year. The course opened briefly on December 20, 1988, when golf legend Sam Snead played the honorary first round. The 18-hole championship course, designed by Gordon Lewis, features eight sets of tees that adjust the course length from 4,455 to 7,028 yards, making it a fair challenge for golfers of all skill levels.
