The Ave Maria Catholic Church serves as the spiritual and architectural centerpiece of Ave Maria, located approximately 30 miles east of Naples. The church features a modern design with exposed steel arches and a 30-foot marble sculpture of the Annunciation on its facade, crafted by Hungarian sculptor Márton Váró. Inside, a monumental bronze statue of Christ dominates the sanctuary.
Beautiful inside and out – the Ave Maria Catholic Church impresses not only with its architecture but also with regular services and concerts. Though modest in size, it is sophisticated and acoustically stunning – comparable to many European cathedrals, yet intimate and welcoming.
The church is the epic entrance to the picturesque town of Ave Maria, where you'll find bookstores, cafés, and quaint boutiques. During the holidays, the church is richly decorated – the ornaments and seasonal displays put everyone in the spirit of the season.
Its location directly across from the university campus makes it the site of frequent vibrant events. A day trip to the Ave Maria Church is well worth it – the atmosphere is friendly and family-oriented.
