The Gathering of the Giants in Cape Coral is a major event for remote-controlled aircraft enthusiasts, showcasing massive RC jets, helicopters, and warbirds in live flight. It’s hosted each March by the Cape Coral R/Sea Hawks Model Airplane Club and is among the most exciting model aviation shows in Southwest Florida.

The Venue

This 33-acre neighborhood park features a large, open flying field with a runway built specifically for RC airplanes and helicopters. The field is maintained by the Cape Coral R/Seahawks Club in agreement with the city. Club members fly throughout the week and on weekends.

Visitor Info

Spectators are warmly welcomed – bring your own chairs and enjoy the view behind the safety fence. Up to 5,000 guests attend each year for the impressive air show and friendly club vibes.
