The Bob Rauschenberg Gallery – Contemporary Art on Campus in Fort Myers

Often seen as the father of the Pop Art movement of the early 1960s due to his groundbreaking work in the 1950s, Robert Rauschenberg is celebrated here through permanent and rotating exhibitions. Located in the Cypress Lake suburb, the gallery features all facets of his art—sculpture, photography, painting, and mixed media—and highlights his legacy while hosting exhibitions by various artists throughout the year.

Overview

The gallery is housed in Building J (Library Lobby Room?118) at 8099 College Parkway. It features Rauschenberg's own work—including the seminal ¼ Mile or Two Furlong Piece—as well as rotating exhibitions by international contemporary artists.
